Make Scrabble Tile Coasters with Dendrite Super Quick

If you have ever used the original Dendrite Super Quick, you know, it dries quickly and firmly when it hardens, making it a very popular adhesive for all types of arts and crafts projects.

If you have ever used the original Dendrite Super Quick, you know, it dries quickly and firmly if it is hard, it is a very popular adhesive for all types of arts and crafts projects.

This "Scrabble" Tile Coasters Set is one of our favorite craft projects, because it shows how quick and easy it is to work with Dendrite Super Quick.

Note: We have seen this happen with dominoes, dice, mahjong tiles and old-fashioned inspectors.   Simply replace the tokens in one of these games used with Scrabble tiles, and you have put a new twist on an old classic. With a little patience and creativity, most of the pieces can be found online converted for pennies and easily with a little Dendrite Super Quick.

What will be needed to make it:-

  • A 5.5” square piece of wood or tile to use as the base for your coaster,
  • ⅛” to ½” thick Flat Cork sheeting (Note, you can also use wine corks the way we did in our January 2015 blog),
  • 36 Scrabble Tiles,
  • The Original Dendrite Super Quick,
  • Ruler,
  • Fine-Tip Permanent Marker,
  • Some metal foil to cover your work surface


How to make the Coasters:-
  • Record your metal foil, and use it to cover your work surface. This keeps all stray adhesive drips from sticking to the table.
  • Next, carefully cut a piece of cork; secure the exact size and shape of your coaster base.
  • Apply Dendrite Super Quick on the roller coaster-base.
  • Push the cork backing to glue down. Be sure to align the support appropriately as Dendrite Super Quick dries quickly and firmly.
  • Wait a few minutes for the glue to cure a little, and then turn off the roller coaster on.

Now we here at the end, and you would have a perfectly functioning roller coaster. And that's fine if all you want to do a simple roller coaster. Instead, we will be adding some game pieces Give these level coasters add. Scrabble tiles are likely to use the simplest, but you can use other counters as well. With a little imagination, there is no limit to the fun things you can create. Given the scrabble tiles lay out how you want them to be placed on the roller coaster.
